Open Access Policy
The Journal of Biotechnology and Sustainability (JBS) is a fully open-access journal that provides immediate and unrestricted access to all published articles. This policy is based on the principle that free and open access to research promotes a wider global exchange of knowledge and enhances the visibility, accessibility, and impact of scholarly work.
All articles published in JBS are distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0). This license allows anyone to read, download, copy, distribute, transmit, adapt, and reuse the content for any lawful purpose, including commercial use, provided that appropriate credit is given to the original author(s) and the source, a link to the license is provided, and any modifications made are clearly indicated.
Authors retain the copyright of their work while granting JBS the right to publish the article as the original publisher. By submitting a manuscript to the journal, authors confirm that the work is original, has not been previously published, and is not under consideration for publication elsewhere. Authors also confirm that they have the authority to grant the necessary publishing and licensing rights and that the manuscript does not infringe upon any intellectual property rights or contain defamatory or unlawful content.
Any third-party material included in the manuscript must be clearly identified and properly acknowledged. Where required, written permission from the copyright holder must be obtained prior to publication. The responsibility for obtaining such permissions rests solely with the author.
In the event of any legal or copyright dispute related to a published article, the author agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the journal, its editors, publisher, and affiliated institutions from any claims arising from the use or distribution of the article in accordance with this open access policy.
